The Oakland Tiny House was my first tiny house, completed in the summer of 2011. Built on a 13' trailer, and on a budget, the OTH was a laboratory for experimenting on making as much of the house myself as possible. After living in it for over two years, I was left with the impression that there's an intangible soulfulness that only a custom hand built home can offer. Built on a 13' trailer, the OTH was equipped with a full kitchen, on demand hot water heater, Dickinson boat heater, all custom built-ins and furniture, redwood and marine ply siding, and maple flooring salvaged from a bowling alley.
